Starting with an elegant new landmark clubhouse, Emerald Hills Club HouseEmerald Hills offers the most beautiful and most challenging championship golf course in Northwest Iowa.  With it's hilly terrain, diverse selection of tree-lined doglegs and fast undulating greens, Emerald Hills has the distinction of owning the highest course and slope rating in the area.  If you choose not to challenge the course from the blue tees at 6700 yards, you have the option of playing three other sets of tees to fit your game.

Emerald Hills is a public golf course, but is proud to offer season memberships to its regular family of players.  The Iowa Great Lakes area is blessed with an abundance of population through the summer months and Emerald Hills is pleased to be able to blend a great chemistry of tourists and memberships in an active, vibrant Golf Club.

               Front 9

#1 Par 5. Good starting hole, rated #17 handicap hole.  Fairly easy, relative to par, slight dogleg to right, one of the flat, easy putting greens on the course.  Green guarded by traps front left and front right.

#2 Par 4.  Straight hole, hitting 2nd shots into narrow target green.  Landing area on slope, so regulation shot into green is almost never from level lie.

#3 Par 3.  Good medium length tee shop to sloping, large green, guarded by large pond left front of green.  Pin location determines much of the difficulty of the hole.

#4 Par 5.  Spectacular tee shop from elevated tee to sharp dogleg right fairway guarded by large tree bank on right side.  Premium on straight tee shot.  Green is extremely undulating with few easy pin locations.

#5 Par 4.  #1 handicap hole.  Long dogleg left with premium on tee shot location getting to the corner.  Elevated, double tier green, guarded by large grass bunkers on front right.

#6 Par 3.  Medium length par 3 over water.  Sloping green guarded in the front by 3 pot bunkers.

#9 Par 4.  Good front 9 finishing hole.  Fairly long, slight dogleg left hole with water guarding the left side.  Difficult sloping green guarded by sand bunker left and a spectacular "donut" sand bunker on right.

              Back 9

#7 Par 4.  Good dogleg right.  Elevated tee to a valley fairway.  2nd shop uphill to a relative flat green guarded by large sand bunker, front right.

#8 Par 4.  Long gradual dogleg left.  Difficult dogleg to cut due to large tree bank on left and out-of-bounds left.  Generally a very long second shot into a fairly flat, large green.
